Extension Requests • Re: One authorization on several forums

The idea was to create multiple forums on the same site, similar to how EA does, where each game has a separate forum with separate topics, but uses a single login.

as per Mick:

phpBB.com is a website containing among others, a phpBB board (www.phpbb.com/community) with multiple forums.

So what do you mean with on the same site? The same domain with different boards in it? (or a board with many forums)
Also.. what is EA?
At the same time, different forums have their own categories and sections. A user registers in one forum, but can automatically log in to other forums using this data. Unfortunately, Social Login does not have such a function. Is there any extension to implement this?
Basically a board contains forums of which there are 3 types:

Categories: which are containers for forums
Forums (sensu strictu): A way of grouping topics; Forums can also be used as containers for other Forums
Subforums: have a forum as parent

Technically , one logs in on a board and what you can see, read, add to depends on the permission settings. Forums can also have a password, restricting access to only those knowing the password.
