Hi - I have a board set to read-only (it's an archive of an old forum). Members can log in to view their old PMs but no new posts (or PMs) are allowed.
But when a topic is viewed as guest, the "Reply with quote" button appears to the upper-right of each post's text, and the "Post Reply" button appears below the posts. If a guest clicks either of these buttons, they're told they must log in. And when they log in, they get a message "You cannot reply in this forum".
So they can't reply, as expected for a read-only forum. But the problem is: why do those quote and reply buttons appear in the first place? Once they're logged in, those buttons no longer appear, but they shouldn't be there for a guest. I've dug through permission settings and old posts in this forum but can't find an answer to how I can remove the buttons for guests.
