Sorry for not being very mime savvy but let me see if I understand. The coding that allows browsers to display images in-line is present if you choose in-line display, but not for any other type of file... unless an extension provides this coding for other file types, and I assume no such extension exists, right? So, it is what it is.
I'm still wondering what the "special category" drop down is for. Would this be where, either by future development or extension, there might be additional choices, such as "spread sheets", "pdf's", "word documents" , allowing them to be displayed in-line?
